Pot Stickers

Tonight I made pot stickers using a recipe from a teen cookbook I have.  I made a couple substitutions that resulted in a great meal.  There were very few if any glitches and my family, especially my meat adoring brother, loved it(and so did I!).  Please email me if you'd like the recipe.

Yogurt Ideas

I thank all of you for the great emails I got about my plea for new twists on plain old yogurt.  I got a ton of new ideas and have been yogurt-ing away my recent snow days!  Today: I combined household ingredients to make an awesome fruit smoothie!  I will be coming out with a recipe soon.  All you need is some frozen fruit (I used raspberries and strawberries),normal vanilla yogurt, orange juice, and sugar.  Again, I don't have exact measurements yet, but I'll measure next time I make it.

P.S. I'm doing the Polar Bear Plunge tomorrow! I'm freaking out!

YOGURT!!!

So this year with my resolution to be healthier I have decided to begin eating yogurt.  Now yogurt is good, but soon, it begins to get boring.  Please email me some ideas of ways to spice up my yogurt!
Thanks!

Ham-chos!!!

The thing you've all been waiting for... my own food creation!!!!  Yes... it is... ham-chos!  For those of you that don't understand my nutty language, they are nachos with ham!  This afternoon after school, I wanted a snack.  I hardly ever have nachos, but I decided, "Oh, what the heck, why not".  While looking through the cheese drawer I found some ham(lunch meat) again, I said, "What the heck, why not", and tried it.  The result, pure deiciousness.  Though I suggest ripping up your ham before placing it on your cheese/chip mixture, if you would like all your chips stuck together after microwaving, it's your choice!

P.S. I'm still stuck on the food of the month

Deep Fried and Delicious

For Christmas, my Dad recived ... wait for it ... a DEEP FRIER!!!!  Yes, this means that our house will soon be full of everything from deep fried pickles to deep fried oreos.  Let the fattening begin!  And, as the first fried food, I made cheese sticks.  They were quite good; easier than I thought.  It took a surprisingly small amount of time and effort.  You simply preheat the oil, dip cheese in egg, cover it in bread crumbs, and lower it into the hot oil.  So, I'm sure, more fried foods will be made soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
